Our grants

1. Who can apply?

Locally based faith groups in Scotland wishing to undertake practical action in response to community need, particularly in the economically poorest urban and rural communities.

2. How much is available?

We will consider applications of up to £15,000.  This may be spread over a maximum of three years, with no more than £7,500 being awarded in the first year.

3. What types of applications will we consider?

We want to be a flexible funder which responds to local need so that people and communities grow and change for the better.  In your application, we want you to tell us about…

…what aspect of poverty and inequality you are tackling  (outline the need, your response and how you will measure change)

…why your faith inspires you to take this action (demonstrate that the proposed work and its ethos is rooted in faith)

…how you will encourage the widest possible participation (indicate how you plan to build real and meaningful relationships beyond your own immediate circle and how this will enhance your work)

4. What types of applications will we not consider?

We cannot consider applications:

· for the promotion of a particular faith.

· for building/refurbishment projects.

· for ongoing running costs of established organisations and projects.
